wisdom for a changing world
"The world is changed; I can feel it in the water, I can feel it in the earth, I can smell it in the air." -- Galadriel, The Lord of the Rings
Our Christian education class for this school year will explore the changing world in which we live and the nature of Christian witness in times such as these. We will consider what it means to follow Jesus today, what it means to live brave, new lives in a “brave, new world”. Surveying the landscape of contemporary American culture, we will discuss a wide range of topics, including marriage and family life, making ends meet in a challenging economy, the changing workplace, being human in the age of technopoly, and lasting friendships in a disposable society. Along the way, we will seek out God’s wisdom to guide our ways and adorn our lives. The study will begin on Sunday, September 7th.
