OPEN ARMS VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Open Arms Pregnancy Resource Centers is looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways ... are YOU interested? If so, plan now to attend their upcoming Ministry Opportunities Seminar to learn how you can become involved.

The Seminar, to be held Saturday, October 14, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., will provide needed information on opportunities available for your involvement, as well as an overview of the issues and challenges facing pregnancy resource centers.

Columbia Civic Orchestra Concert

The Columbia Civic Orchestra will present a 3 p.m. concert Sunday, October 1, at the Lenoir Woods Community Center. The Orchestra will be led by Musical Director and Principal Conducter Stefan Freund and Assistant Director Ned Horner.

Joining the Orchestra will be the Missouri Symphony Society Youth Orchestra, directed by Carolyn Turner.

The program will include works by R. Strauss, J.S. Bach, Bizet, as well as Ralph Vaughan Williams' Fantasia on a Theme of Thomas Tallis.

OPEN ARMS WALK FOR LIFE SEPT. 30

OPEN ARMS PREGNANCY RESOURCE CENTERS' 16th annual WALK FOR LIFE will be held Saturday, September 30, at 10 a.m. (registration at 9:30 a.m.) in the four communities where Open Arms' Centers are located: Columbia, Fulton, Jefferson City & Moberly. (Columbia's Walk will be at Oakland Park.)

Funds raised from this WALK FOR LIFE will help Open Arms continue to offer help to women and men in making decisions for LIFE in the areas of pregnancy, abstinence and post-abortion recovery. And their prayer for every person coming to their Centers is that every baby be born alive and every parent be born again.

The WALK is a celebration of LIFE by Walkers who have secured pledges from Sponsors desiring to help in this outreach.
