Men's Ministry
"Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another" (Proverbs 27:17)
God told Adam it was not good to for man to be alone. And so He gave
Adam the gift of a woman, one who would be bone of his bone and flesh of
his flesh in the mystery of marriage. We could supplement the text of
Genesis with another truth, this one also from the Bible: It is not good
for Adam and Eve to be alone. Adam and Eve need other friends. Adam
needs company for tailgate parties, camp-outs, work projects, fishing
trips and road trips. He needs men who will loan him wisdom along with
loaning him a chainsaw and deep fryer. He needs a friend who will spot
him on the bench press as well as support him in the press of life. He
needs men around him who will mentor him, pray for him and encourage him
to follow Jesus more faithfully. At Christ Our King our men recognize
that friendship is important for our continued growth in Christ and so
we seek out opportunities to fellowship together. We host monthly prayer
meetings and occasional men’s studies and retreats. We get together
simply to hang out and enjoy one another’s company. We invite you to
keep company with us.
